Piazza dei Signori

This area is linked to the adjoin-ing Piazza delle Erbe by the Arco della Costa. Defined as the 'Araw-ing room of Verona", its monumental and elegant appearance was conferred on it by the Della Scala Seigniory. At its centre stands the monument to Dante Alighieri who, during his exile, was the guest of the Della Scala family from 1303 to 1316. It is the work of Ugo Zannoni (1865).
