Palazzo degli Scaligeri

At the far end of the square stands the Palazzo degli Scaligeri or Palazzo della Prefettura, former-ly Palazzo del Governo, whose construction, which began in the 12th century, continued until the end of the 14th century and later underwent various modifications.
