Loggia del Consiglio

Loggia del Consiglio (also known as the Loggia di fra' Gio-condo, from the name of its probable designer), the ancient scat of the city Council, was built at the end of the 15th century in beautiful Renaissance style. On the top stand various statues depicting il-lustrious personages of the past by Alberto da Milano: Catullus, Pliny, Marcus, Vitruvius and Cor-nelius Nepos.
